Description
The solenoid is essentially an electromagnet with a metal slug in the centre. When voltage is supplied, the slug will push forward. Attached on the end is a spring so that the slug can return to its original position when power is removed. There are M3 mounting holes on the body so you can secure the solenoid to your structure.
Please note that when solenoid is activated for long periods of time it will become very hot, and can even burn when touching. The correct way to use a solenoid is to activate only when required, not for prolong periods of time.
